Changes in the breast that may be signs of breast cancer include:

  • An area on the breast that feels different from the surrounding area, such as a lump or thickening
  • Bleeding from the nipple
  • Changes in breast size or shape
  • Skin changes on the breast or nipple, including peeling, scaling, flaking, redness, or pitting
  • An inverted nipple

It is important to inform your doctor if you notice a lump or any otherchange in your breasts, even after a recent normal mammogram.
